| The re-growing celery has made it's way outdoors. I can't see much difference between the two plants, although they were started two weeks apart. {Only one of these plants survived and it did not produce more celery. It just went to seed. So, Re-Growing Celery apparently doesn't work.} |

| My experiment with re-growing green onions in water is yielding not so great results. The greens come back limp, and see how the bulb is shrinking? I may try planting these in dirt and see if that makes it worth it. {Dirt didn't go well either. Another re-growing fail} |

| Here is my ginger "plant." It isn't growing like it expected (sprouts out the top). Instead, the nubs are growing out and turing green. Very interesting. Very slow too. {I kept this potted up as a houseplant. It looks and smells nice.}

Yes, "homeschooling" for grownups! I'm LOVING it! But, will love it even more when Alex comes back home for school next year.
ReplyDeleteReally, what I've found is a desire to learn... I'm a life-long learner! Now, I'm wondering, how do you 'teach' that desire??? Hmmm.... I don't know the answer. I truly don't know of anything in my education that brought me to this point. Actually, it was having a child that brought me to this point! And seeing her joy of learning, which sadly isn't as bright as when she was little. I hope I can re-spark that, though!
I like your veggies! I found an yellow onion that had sprouted a few months ago. I brought it home and stuck it in water. It grew & grew & grew! I was hoping for flowers, but it never did flower. I finally tossed it. I meant to take photos & blog about it, but didn't.
Oh, and 400 acres is a LOT!!! I'll try to take some photos to show how much land we have. It's incredible! I can't believe it is ours! We are headed back this weekend, and I'm looking forward to checking on the tadpoles, the black walnut trees, the calves, and more!
